![]() But at the expense of basically not being able to be hit the whole run, I think it's fair. Golden Fleece actually makes the game harder overall, imo. If you're good enough to rack up a significant dmg % bonus, you're not going to get killed if you take one of the defensive Fleeces. Golden Fleece nullifies basically all healing and defensive tarots because if you get hit once towards the end of the run and lose your bonus, you are screwed. The Curse and Golden Fleece really switch up the way you play as opposed to the Spirit and Disease Heart ones which just make the game easier and the 4x Tarot one which actually takes away the zane. It offers something the game is really lacking which is variety in the gameplay. The other Fleeces feel so bad compared to it though because of the slowness. Double damage on Very Hard means you're dead in 3-4 hits most of the time. (Bosses probably need hit points reduced to about 25% HP with golden fleece removed it takes 10 minutes to kill one of those suckers with no % bonus from golden fleece) Suggestion: Half the hit points of enemies so golden fleece isn't necessary and remove golden fleece or change how it works- it functionally currently reads you either have a perfect run and rofl stomp, or you get hit and suddenly no longer can finish a run within a reasonable time you might as well q out at that point you can't kill the boss because it be too tanky. It takes several minutes to clear A ROOM after taking 1 hit and that just feels far to much of a punishment. until you get hit ONCE and suddenly are hitting things with a wet noodle. ![]() This makes Golden fleece Effectively necessary to actually kill much of anything and have a decent time. It feels like a huge wall where paradoxically if I don't use golden fleece (or take damage at any point) it takes 10 hits with my best weapon to kill basic mooks. ![]() It really does feel that medium difficulty after boss 2 is balanced arround the player having +100% or more from golden fleece.
